Η Ford ανακαλεί 390.000 Fiesta, Fusion και Lincoln MKZ στην Αμερική, το ίδιο κάνει η Cadillac με 4.900 CTS-V

Ανακλήσεων συνέχεια στην Αμερική, καθώς μετά τη χθεσινή της Audi και της FCA, σειρά παίρνει σήμερα η Ford ανακαλώντας συνολικά 390.000 αυτοκίνητα των Fiesta, Fusion και Lincoln MKZ.

Το πρόβλημα εντοπίζεται σε ελάττωμα της ασφάλειας των θυρών, με την συγκεκριμένη ανάκληση να είναι η τρίτη της Ford

για το ίδιο πρόβλημα από την αρχή του έτους, καθώς τον Ιανουάριο είχαν ανακληθεί 205.000 μονάδες και τον Μάρτιο άλλα 213.000 αυτοκίνητα. Η ανάκληση αφορά ένα πρόβλημα στο ελατήριο που υπάρχει στα εσωτερικά χερούλια των θυρών και να βγει από τη θέση σου, που ακόμα και αν κλείσει η πόρτα, υπάρχει το ενδεχόμενο να ανοίξει χωρίς κάποια ειδοποίηση ή ένδειξη.

Όσα Fiesta κατασκευάστηκαν από την 1η Φεβρουαρίου του 2012 μέχρι την 31η Μαΐου του 2013 στο εργοστάσιο της εταιρίας, στη πόλη Cuautitlán, στο Μεξικό και όσα Fusion και Lincoln MKZ βγήκαν από το εργοστάσιο Hermosillo της ίδιας χώρας μεταξύ 1ης Ιουλίου 2012 και 31ης Μαΐου 2013 θα χρειαστεί να επισκεφτούν τον τοπικό τους αντιπρόσωπο, ώστε να επιδιορθωθεί το πρόβλημα.

Από την άλλη η General Motors ανακαλεί περίπου 4.900 Cadillac CTS-V sedan πρώτης γενιάς, που κατασκευάστηκαν από την 6 Σεπτεμβρίου 2003 μέχρι την 11η Ιουνίου του 2007. Τα οχήματα αυτά έχουν κυρίως αγοραστεί σε 21 πολιτείες, όπου επικρατούν παγωμένες συνθήκες και χρησιμοποιείται αλάτι για το ξεπάγωμα των δρόμων. Το αλάτι μπορεί να προκαλέσει διάβρωση στα σωληνάκια των φρένων, με αποτέλεσμα να υπάρχει διαρροή υγρού φρένων.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY ISSUES SAFETY RECALL IN NORTH AMERICA FOR DOOR LATCH ISSUE ON FORD FIESTA AND FUSION, LINCOLN MKZ

Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 390,000 2012-2014 Ford Fiesta and 2013-2014 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles for a door latch issue. The door latch in these vehicles may experience a broken pawl spring tab, which typically results in a condition where the door will not latch. If a customer is then able to latch the door, there is potential the door may unlatch while driving, increasing the risk of injury.

Ford is aware of two allegations of soreness resulting from an unlatched door bouncing back when the customer attempted to close it, and one accident allegation when an unlatched door swung open and struck an adjacent vehicle as the driver was pulling into a parking space.

Affected vehicles include certain 2012-2014 Ford Fiesta vehicles built at Cuautitlán Assembly Plant, Feb. 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013; certain 2013-2014 Ford Fusion vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, July 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013; and certain 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, July 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013.

There are approximately 390,000 vehicles in North America (actual 389,585), including 336,873 in the United States and federalized territories, 30,198 in Canada and 22,514 in Mexico.

Dealers will replace all four door latches at no cost to the customer.

Manufacturer: General Motors LLCSUMMARY:General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V vehicles manufactured between September 6, 2003, and June 11, 2007, currently registered, or originally sold, in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, snow or water containing road salt or other contaminants may corrode the front brake hose fitting at the caliper.CONSEQUENCE:Corrosion may cause the brake system to leak which could lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.REMEDY:GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace both front brake hose assemblies, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM’s number for this recall is 15149.
