Η Jaguar F-Pace έκανε τη πρώτη της εμφάνιση στο Tour de France

Η Jaguar όπως είχε ανακοινώσει, παρουσίασε για πρώτη φορά μια έκδοση προ-παραγωγής της F-Pace κατά τη διάρκεια του φετινού ποδηλατικού γύρου της Γαλλίας. Η F-Pace είναι το όχημα υποστήριξης για την Team Sky στο Tour de France και μεταφέρει τον Sports

Director, τον γιατρό, τον μηχανικό, ένα ακόμα μέλος και τον εξοπλισμό της Team Sky. Ειδικά για το τελευταίο, η F-Pace είναι ιδανική αφού όπως αναφέρει η Jaguar, θα έχει το μεγαλύτερο πορτ-μπαγκάζ στην κατηγορία της ενώ όσον αφορά στους επιβάτες, η καμπίνα είναι “φαρδιά και ευρύχωρη”.

Επίσης, το αυτοκίνητο που συνοδεύει τους ποδηλάτες της ομάδας, είναι εξοπλισμένο με ένα ειδικά σχεδιασμένο από την Special Vehicle Operations quick-release σύστημα για τα ποδήλατα. Να θυμίσω πως το ντεμπούτο της έκδοσης παραγωγής της Jaguar F-Pace θα γίνει στην έκθεση της Φρανκφούρτης, τον ερχόμενο Σεπτέμβριο, με τις πωλήσεις της να ξεκινούν στις αρχές του 2016.

JAGUAR F-PACE STARS IN TOUR DE FRANCE GRAND DEPART

Utrecht, Saturday 4 July 2015: The new Jaguar F-PACE broke cover on Saturday 04 July in front of an estimated live audience of one million people as it supported Team Sky on Stage One of the Tour de France in Utrecht. Over two billion more were also estimated to have watched on television or online around the world. Five Team Sky riders – Ian Stannard, Luke Rowe, Peter Kennaugh, Leopold König and Chris Froome – were supported by the F-PACE during the Grand Depart, providing a pressurised real world test of Jaguar’s first performance crossover.

A cutting edge bike rack, designed with an innovative telescopic clamp by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations, was developed specifically for the stage and carried two Team Sky’s Pinarello Bolide Time Trial bikes.

The F-PACE shed its hard camouflage in public for the first time and instead sported a specially created wrap, hinting at the final design of the vehicle, which will be fully unveiled later this year.

Team Sky Head of Technical Operations & Commercial, Carsten Jeppesen, said: “The atmosphere in Utrecht was incredible. The Netherlands has a huge passion for cycling and right from the moment we arrived at the start line, you could feel the excitement. The appearance of Jaguar’s F-PACE prototype definitely added to the hype today – you could see it made a big impact with the crowds.”
