Athens hotels show increased occupancy and revenue

Athens’ hotel industry has started the year on a positive note, with hotels in the city clinching an average occupancy rate of 63.5 percent, according to a report.

The figure marks a 5.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Athens-Attica & Argosaronic Hotel Association.

Revenue, meanwhile, per available room saw a more significant spike – at 10 percent – reaching 62.48 euros compared to 56.79 euros in the first quarter of 2023.

The Athens-Attica & Argosaronic Hotel Association emphasized that the city’s hotel capacity remained “robust,” with a total of 18,198 rooms available. The figures underscore the Greek capital’s resilience to becoming a major tourist destination, attracting visitors while maintaining competitive pricing and services.
