FinMin announces new president for privatisation agency (TAIPED)

Constantine Maniatopoulos is the new president of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), Greece's privatisation agency, the Finance ministry announced Saturday.

Maniatopoulos was president
of the Public Properties Company (EAD) up to now and member of the supervisory council for DESFA, the Greek natural gas transmission system operator. His appointment must be ratified by parliament.

He has extensive experience as energy consultant on Greek companies and international bodies, including serving as former director general for Energy of the European Commission (1986-1995), and serving as Greece's representative abroad, according to a curriculum vitae posted by the Finance ministry.

Maniatopoulos has an electrical production engineering degree from the National Polytechnic University (Metsovion) and has completed graduate studies in business administration and research, as well as economy and statistics, in Athens and Paris.
