Eλληνικός θρίαμβος! Όσκαρ 2019: Υποψήφιο για 10 Όσκαρ το «The Favourite» του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου!

Το μεσημέρι της Τρίτης ανακοινώθηκαν οι υποψηφιότητες για τα φετινά Όσκαρ και το «The Favourite» του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου είναι υποψήφιο για 10 βραβεία.

Η υπόθεση διαδραματίζεται στις αρχές του 18ου αιώνα. Η Αγγλία βρίσκεται σε πόλεμο με τους Γάλλους, σε μια εποχή όπου οι αγώνες πάπιας και η κατανάλωση ανανά παραμένουν δημοφιλή «σπορ» ανάμεσα στους γαλαζοαίματους. Η εύθραυστη Βασίλισσα Άννα καταλαμβάνει

το θρόνο και η στενή της φίλη Σάρα Τσόρτσιλ κυβερνά τη χώρα στη θέση της, ενώ ταυτόχρονα φροντίζει την υγεία της.

Η ανακοίνωση των υποψηφιοτήτων, που μεταδόθηκε μέσω live stream από το YouTube της Αμερικανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου, πραγματοποιήθηκε από τους ηθοποιούς Kumail Nanjiani και Tracee Ellis Ross, από το Samuel Goldwyn Theater στο Μπέβερλι Χιλς της Καλιφόρνια.

Η τελετή απονομής των 91ων βραβείων της Αμερικανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 24 Φεβρουαρίου στο Dolby Theatre του Λος Άντζελες.
