Λογοκρισία στο Twitter ;

Το Twitter ανακοίνωσε μία νέα πολιτική που θα του επιτρέπει να μπλοκάρει συγκεκριμένα tweets και να μην μπορούν να τα δουν οι χρήστες σε ορισμένες χώρες, ενώ σε άλλες θα είναι ελεύθερα. Τα μπλοκαρισμένα tweets και οι λόγοι που «απαγορεύτηκαν» θα καταχωρούνται σε ένα καινούργιο site,

που θα δημιουργηθεί σε συνεργασία με το γκρουπ για τα νομικά δικαιώματα στο Ίντερνετ, Chilling Effects. Το Twitter κάνει λόγο για θετική εξέλιξη που θα το βοηθήσει να σεβαστεί τους νόμους σε διάφορες χώρες. Μάλιστα αναφέρει ως παράδειγμα τα tweets των νεοναζί σε Γερμανία και Γαλλία.

Η κίνηση αυτή του Twitter προκάλεσε «πόλεμο» και οι χρήστες της συγκεκριμένης σελίδας κοινωνικής δικτύωσης ετοιμάζονται να δώσουν τη δική τους απάντηση με μποϋκοτάζ της ιστοσελίδας αύριο.
